As most who have lived in Winnipeg know, spring flooding is a serious issue, especially for homes situated along the edge of the Red River. A great solution to this persistent problem is a retaining wall. In 2019 we took on a retaining wall project for a residential client. Helical Piles proved to be a great option, providing both support and anchoring to the wall. We were able to use pile extensions to lengthen our piles, this made certain that the foundation would bear beyond any slip planes, ensuring a solid retaining wall for years to come. Not only did we provide piles for the client, we also constructed the rest of the retaining wall. From installing weeping tile for drainage, to fill soil and top sod, we oversaw this project from start to finish.
